Sales Coordinator Job Opening in Bensalem, Pennsylvania - The primary role of the Sales Coordinator is to assist the Director of Sales and other Sales Managers in meeting with and maintaining communication with clients throughout all stages of the sales process.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assist the DOS in functions ranging from daily tasks to organizing and distributing weekly BEO packets
Responds and handles all client requests and catering leads/inquiries
Acts as a liaison between the sales and all other department throughout each group and/or event process
Awards points and incentives to all meeting planners
Send event follow-up correspondence/ evaluations
Holds a thorough understanding of the venue and menu selections to maximize revenue whenever possible
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS :
In addition to performance of the essential functions, the position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of each function to be solely determined by the Director of Sales based upon the particular requirements of the hotel.
Maintains office inventory of amenities and other supplies.
Respond in a timely manner to client requests for information on accommodations, meeting space, menu options, etc.
Conducting an internal audit to ensure that both the PMS system and SalesPro are updated with all and accurate information
Perform any other duties as assigned by DOS or Sales Manager
KNOWLEDGE and SKILL:
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
Basic ability to comprehend the English language sufficient to understand information such as labels and instructions and basic guest requests
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including ExcelAbility to follow instructions, directions, and meet deadlines
Ability to communicate effectively with clients, as well as other employees
Ability to stand, sit, bend, or stoop with reasonable accommodation
EDUCATION
Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skill and ability.
EXPERIENCE:
Previous sales coordinator experience preferred, but not required.
