Wordpress Developer Job Opening in Toledo, Ohio - Overview: Applied Learning is looking for a Wordpress Web Developer responsible for both back-end and front-end development. This position requires a combination of programming skills (namely HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and PHP) and aesthetics (understanding element arrangements on the screen, the color and font choices, and etc.). The candidate should have a strong understanding of online course delivery and learning management systems (LMS) in a Wordpress environment.

Responsibilities:
Builds and maintains a Wordpress website with an integrated learning management system and online payment system.
Learns rapidly and masters diverse web technologies to write well designed, testable and efficient code by using best software development practices.
Manages Wordpress theme and module development with ease, troubleshoots solutions to break through complexities and solve technical issues.
Possesses a keen attention to detail and takes ownership of the work, proactively diagnoses problems, runs QA, tests, debugs and utilizes creative problem solving skills to solve cross-browser and technical issues.
Cares strongly about delivering a cutting-edge user experience that is focused on providing target audiences with the best possible user interaction.
Communicates concisely and collaborates with the team to manage expectations, timelines, client deadlines and feedback.
Maintains a can-do attitude that promotes getting the job done on time when faced with roadblocks that could potentially derail productivity.
Administers the learning management system and course integration process
Education and Qualifications:
A portfolio demonstrating web development capabilities is required for consideration. Works must demonstrate Wordpress development and your understanding of learning management systems.
Associate?s or Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred, but not required.
3+ years of experience coding Wordpress websites and maintenance of learning management systems is strongly desired.
Top-notch programming skills and knowledge of learning management systems and efficient use of Wordpress plugins
Familiarity with marketing data, Google Analytics, SEO, and MailChimp
