The Position
The Laboratory Associate contributes to the effective and efficient operation of the laboratory.
You will work closely with laboratory scientists, supply chain, quality, and other integral
departments to help drive innovation in cancer testing. You will be responsible for assisting
laboratory scientists and supporting the daily operations of the laboratory.
Perform equipment maintenance according to the laboratory?s standard operating
procedures for the following but not limited to: refrigerators, freezers, centrifuges,
pipettes, ddPCR, qPCR, BioAnalyzer, heat blocks, plate sealers, NextSeq, MiniSeq and
other instruments as needed
Maintain sufficient inventory and assist in control of flow of material, supplies and
equipment from warehouse to the laboratory to maintain efficient operations
Check, monitor and record temperature and perform root cause analysis of deviations
and implement a resolution or initiate a service request as necessary
Document all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory?s
established performance specifications
Clean racks and other laboratory supplies
Write and revise standard operating procedures, as needed
Assist the laboratory scientists with preparation and aliquoting reagents, manufacture
controls and reagents kits require for performing and supporting appropriate assays.
Participate in interdepartmental activities with Supply Chain and Quality to ensure
appropriate reagents are available for use at all times
Assist with training of new laboratory personnel and training of new procedures with
existing personnel
Assist with internal audits and inspection preparation, as needed
Manage, organize and maintain laboratory, equipment, personnel and training records
Identify process improvement opportunities and report to laboratory management
Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum of AA or equivalent required
Bachelor of Arts or Science in Biological Sciences, Laboratory Science or related field
preferred
At least 1 year of related experiences in a high complexity laboratory
Dedicated to making a difference in precision medicine
Driven to make a positive impact in cancer diagnosis and treatment
Excellent communicator with great written and verbal fluency
Can-do and willing to learn attitude necessary for start-up environment
Detailed oriented with an appetite to drive tasks to completion
Ability to work well in a rapid-pace startup environment
Ability to work effectively as part of a cross functional team.
Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
