HARDWARE DESIGN ENGINEER - HIGH-SPEED INTERFACE, IMAGE PROCESSING Job Opening in PORTLAND, Oregon - Bleeding-edge virtual reality engineering firm is looking for a Hardware Engineer to join hardware design team. In this position you will be assisting the FPGA RTL Design Engineer in designing RTL for high-speed interfaces and image processing in spherical camera systems.
Duties:
- Collaborate with architect and other engineers to design hardware schematics for embedded systems (video cameras)
- Carefully review datasheets of complex parts (FPGAs, Microprocessors) and manage SI/EMI considerations early to design hardware schematics
- Layout PCBs and facilitate fabrication and assembly processes
- Test, probe, and debug circuits
- Occasional hand assembly of electronics
- Inventory and manage parts
Requirement:
- 3 to 12 years of hardware design experience
- Cadence OrCAD Schematic and PCB Designer Professional (Allegro)
- Understand how to design embedded systems, including:
- JEDEC DDR3+ SDRAM, NAND
- FPGAs
- Microprocessors (ARM, etc)
- High-speed signaling
- SI and EMI control
- Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS
- PCB Layout for SI and EMI control
- In-circuit debugging
