DevOps Engineer Job Opening in MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota - DevOps Engineer
The person needs to possess the following capabilities:
- Senior level expertise in data center automation and DevOps strategies
- Strong understanding of all foundational data center infrastructure (Servers, Storage, Network, Security, etc?)
- Hands-on experience with automation scripting tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc?)
- Hands-on experience with Cisco UCS platforms
- Experience with UCS Director
- Experience with Vmware and Vmware automation and orchestration technologies
- Experience with Open Source automation and orchestration technologies (OpenStack, Salt Stack, etc?)
- Experience with Cisco ACI and ACI automation techniques
- Experience automating security provisioning (integration with security platforms)
This person will develop the long-term automation strategy, lead the implementation of the automation architecture and eventually own the automation function within the company. In the initial engagement they will be required to perform the following activities:
- Discover and assess the environment to gain a strong understanding of what is currently in place, as it relates to infrastructure and infrastructure automation
- Define the future state automation strategy and associated goals
- Define the future state automation architecture (includes the selection process for all automation tools/technologies)
- Lead the implementation of any/all POC?s required to prove out selected technical solutions
- Develop a roadmap of future projects to achieve the future state strategy
