Sr. Property Accountant- Top Austin Firm! Job Opening in Austin, Texas - Hill Country Search Advisors is seeking a Sr. Property Accountant with a minimum of three years of experience for a fast paced, rapidly expanding Real Estate client in Downtown Austin. This position will be responsible for financial reporting for owned and 3rd party properties. The ideal candidates will have a good working knowledge of GAAP and understanding of commercial property management industry practices and terminology.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
Prepare monthly journal entries and monthly GL close, including bank reconciliations
Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliation and analysis
Prepare and distribute financial reports (, as determined by individual property owner)
Oversee payment of all property invoices, including mortgages and management fees
Oversee posting of monthly billings
Assist in year-end audit process
Assist with annual budget preparation and year-end reconciliation process
Prepare year-end tax packages for each assigned property
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred
Minimum 3 -- 5 years of accounting experience with 1-2 years minimum general ledger responsibility
Previous property accounting experience preferred
Proficient with MS Excel
Yardi software experience a plus
Excellent communication skills and strong customer service abilities
