Machabee Office Environments is a family business that was founded in 1940. Originally located in Reno and later in Las Vegas, Machabee is a premier authorized Steelcase wholesale dealer for the entire State of Nevada. With 75 years of experience, talent and knowledge, the Machabee Office Environments team, including in-house account managers, designers, project managers and installers, manage every project detail to perfection, from initial space planning to final installation. The Requirements
To be a strong fit for this role you will need:
A Bachelor?s degree in business
Experience within the Interior Design industry is preferred, but we will consider strong candidates with the desire to grow a sales career
Successful sales experience preferred
Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or CAP Designer software; the ability to learn CET software
The ability to read space plans and generate product specifications with CAP and/or CET
In addition to these requirements, you should have the following core competencies and characteristics:
The interpersonal skills and finesse to build and maintain positive internal and external relationships
Exceptionally detail oriented, reliable and conscientious
Excellent organization and time management skills
The ability to learn and retain large amounts of product information
Skill and/or desire to build a career in sales

The Role
Reporting directly to the President, as a New Business Development Professional, focusing primarily on Architect and Design (A&D) firms in the greater Las Vegas area, you will be responsible for developing new and repeat business by building relationships. Approximately 25% of your time will be spent prospecting, with the remainder being dedicated to working with A&D and Commercial Real Estate Firms.
Your top priorities will be to:
Develop relationships with A&D firms including key personnel and decision makers
Work and consult with the Sales team
Promote Machabee Office Environments capabilities
Learn how to use Hedberg and CET Design software to designate Steelcase products
Learn and use Machabee?s process and required paperwork
Additionally, you will:
Generate additional sales by using specific marketing actions and additional services such as fabric protection and reconfiguration
Build and maintain strong product knowledge to increase sales effectiveness
Return customer voice mail and e-mail messages on the same business day as they are received
Utilize AutoCAD and CET Designer software to develop specifications and drawings for customers
Maintain profitability on all sales transactions
Manage special assignments, on occasion, that transcend current account management/sales responsibilities
In addition to A&D firms, and as time allows, develop business across other verticals, such as Real Estate (e.g. real estate agents)
Per customer requests, develop interior finish schedules, presentation boards and specifications
Respond to customer requests for information and pricing in a timely manner
Attend sales meeting as required
Work as a team member with other designers and account managers

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
To develop and enhance the A&D/CRE profile of Machabee Office Environments to achieve the following:
TOP PRIORITIES
Develop relationships with A&D firms, Commercial Real Estate firms, and End Users/Customers through sales calls, entertaining and participation in outside organizations.
Involvement in Networking Organizations (NAIOP, IIDA, AIA etc.)
Act as a ?concierge? to designers to help get Steelcase specified on projects.
Turn over specification opportunities to account managers to ensure prompt response to customer requests, such as proposals, product and delivery information.
Work with account manager to generate revenue by charging for Design, Delivery and Installation, Overtime, or any services that are appropriate.
OTHER DUTIES
Effective time management to meet all necessary sales activities
Proper follow up with account managers on all orders to meet customer expectations for delivery and installation
Generate additional sales by using specific marketing actions and additional services such as fabric protection and reconfiguration
Build and maintain strong product knowledge to increase sales effectiveness
Customer voice mail and e-mail messages must be returned the same business day or within a 24 hour period
Adhere to all company policies as outlined in employee handbook
Help maintain profitability on all sales transactions
