Staff Accountant Job Opening in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Data Display is seeking a highly motivated, hands-on individual with excellent accounting, organizational and computer skills to join our team. The perspective employee will perform the following accounting functions:
Assist with month end close procedures including account reconciliations, journal entries and financial statement presentation and analysis
Maintain records of accounts receivable and accounts payable
Collections
Sales tax return preparation
Preparation of various spreadsheet and reports
Inventory and asset management
Pleasant demeanor, good phone skills, and ability to maintain close working relationships with sales team and clients
Other general accounting and office duties
A four year degree in accounting or equivalent is preferred. Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years accounting experience and must be proficient in MS Excel . Advantageous experience would include being part of a team that implemented a new accounting and/or ERP system. These engineered electronic component solutions (video, audio and lighting) enhance the POP displays and fixtures in a variety of retail settings including Best Buy, Target, Walmart and Walgreens. In addition to engineering the electronic components, the Company sources the electronics products off shore and then performs light assembly and QC testing operations at its Philadelphia location.
