Financial Aid Coordinator Job Opening in Seattle, Washington - The Financial Aid Officer will develop financial plans as outlined in the policies and procedures including Title IV and cash paying students. They will work closely with new, continuing and re-entry students and their families to ensure each student is packaged to best meet their needs.
Specifically the Financial Aid Officer is responsible for the following:
Performing qualifying interviews: Ensuring the student completes the FASFA, tracking the FASFA and auditing student ISIRs.
Clear ISIR comment codes, collect verification documents and manage student FA files for completeness and accuracy.
Assisting students in applying for any other funding that may be available.
Student exit interviews for graduates, drops and LOA students.
Perform return to title IV calculations
Assist in collections of unfunded balance payments
Assist in yearly compliance audit and in program reviews
Tint requires that the applicant must have the following:
Strong working knowledge of COD and NSLDS.
Ability to develop and implement new policies and procedures as title IV regulations change.
Well-developed organizational skills, detail focus and problem-solving abilities that allow you to manage through a day filled with variety of and multiple priorities.
Ability to work with a variety of socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.
Have knowledge of Federal, State and Local financial aid regulations
Possess supreme customer service skills
Superior written and oral communication skills
Excellent organizational and skills
Must have 3+ years of financial aid experience in postsecondary school setting
Ability to interact effectively as a member of a team and work collaboratively with other departments.
Ability to listen to customers (students and staff) and to understand and respond positively to their requests.
VA knowledge is a huge plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $42,000.00 to $48,000.00 /year
