General Duties:
The Legal Analyst supports the operations of the Legal Department in its role as support for other internal departments and branches of Nations Lending.
The Analyst reports to the General Counsel for direction, but frequently operates independently on projects and routine tasks.
The position requires initiative, organization, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to form strong interpersonal collaborative relationships with other employees in different departments and outside clients. Attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to work without daily supervision are essential skills
This is a FAST PACED environment with changing priorities, strong adherence to deadlines and a combination of short and long term projects. ideal candidates MUST be adaptable
Responsibilities:
Coordination and recordkeeping of lease and contractual relationships within and outside the company.
Must coordinate with internal stakeholders on changes, extensions, amendments, terminations, and creation of lease agreements; and the monitoring of their performance.
Work with compensation agreements and confidential employee information.
Work with company employees on licensing, accounting, personnel, and operations issues as needed.
Regularly performs office work including email correspondence, physical mailings, phone calls, filing, and updating records. The positon supports the General Counsel in scheduling and routine correspondence in addition to administrative logistical support.
Receive and organize mail and processes internal requests for information or legal processes from outside the company.
Under the direction of the General Counsel, the Analyst prepares mailings and packages of information or data submissions.
The Analyst may attend meetings to take notes or facilitate workgroup discussions as needed.
MUST be capable of responding to routine inquiries and tasks without direction or supervision.
Requires attention to detail and investigate and ability resolve minor issues independently.
Good writing and communication skills required. Ideal candidate has strong organization skills and thorough knowledge of document organization and retention systems.
MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) are mandatory. Prior experience in maintaining databases of information is KEY.
Knowledge of basic legal operations a plus.
Notary licensing a plus.
Candidate will be the public face of the Legal Department, so must be personable and able to communicate and interact pleasantly with others.
Will work with confidential documents and information, so discretion and confidentiality will be essential to the position.
