PT Staff Accountant - Atlanta - 2 Years Experience Job Opening in Atlanta, Georgia - Your Role
In this role you will be responsible for performing multiple accounting functions including payroll and general ledger account reconciliations. To qualify you must hold a Bachelor?s degree in Accounting along with strong experience working with accounting systems
What You?ll Be Doing
Prepares monthly payroll journal entries for US and Canadian subsidiaries
Prepares month-end journal entries related top all HR accruals including but not limited to, vacation, 401k match, severance
Prepares commission accrual calculation, performs analysis, and reconciles with payments submitted by sales
Prepares bonus accrual calculation, performs analysis, and reconciles with payments
Preparing balance sheet analysis of payroll data
Compiles payroll data from a variety of sources (e.g. time cards/payroll, salary adjustments, benefits, leave balances, tax deposits, etc.) and prepares reports on outstanding liabilities
Reconciles payroll account balances
Prepares reconciliation on COBRA account
Works closely with HR/Payroll to ensure proper allocation of payroll costs including related taxes, fees, etc.
The Skills You?ll Bring
Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting Degree
2-5 years? experience in the areas of payroll and general accounting, including general ledger account reconciliation and journal entries
Solid PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Knowledge on Microsoft Navision Dynamics
Detail-oriented, well organized, self-motivated and excellent analytical skills
