Software Support Engineer Job Opening in Champaign, Illinois - Tekberry, a national contract staffing company, is looking for a highly qualified and Software Support Engineer to work on-site with our client; a Global Telecommunications Company in Champaign, IL. Our clients rely on Tekberry to provide exceptional people to handle demanding short and long-term contract assignments.
This is a six-month, at-will contract position that will see the ideal candidate working alongside industry-leading talent in a world-class environment.
Responsibilities:
Apply research in performance analysis and optimizations.
Program analysis tools design.
Develop prototypes and implementation with a focus on distributed and cloud computing.
Be creative, keep on learning, and stay connected with the community.
Basic Requirements:
Enrolled in graduate or post-graduate program in Computer Science or related.
In-depth knowledge and understanding of distributed and cloud system architecture and tools technologies.
Experience in methodologies of performance optimization in VM, runtime and library, and full stack software profiling.
Performance measurement, analysis and optimization from experience in performance modeling and/or parallel software development.
Proficient in software engineering techniques and methodologies.
Fluent in C/C++/Java and other cloud based programming languages.
Competency in a breadth of distributed systems in heterogeneous environments is a plus.
Program analysis and compiler experience is a plus.
Experience with runtime system and cloud-based languages is a plus.
