Bookkeeper Job Opening in Houston, Texas - Company Overview Rodriguez & Associates is a small public accounting office that specializes in providing accounting services for a variety of businesses, as well as tax preparation, and representation of governmental agency issues. Our office is currently looking for a full time long-term Bookkeeper candidate that will be responsible, but not limited, to the following duties:
Provide heavy clerical and administrative duties on a regular basis.
Review and prepare source documents by compiling and sorting information for computer entry.
Analyze customer and account source documents and review data for deficiencies.
Conduct periodic reconciliations of accounts, bank, and credit card statements to ensure their accuracy.
Analyze financial data and prepared financial reports.
Provide in depth training of QuickBooks usage to clients and their staff.
Responsible for timely filing of all local, state, and governmental taxes.
Maintain an orderly accounting filling system.
Maintain customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
3+ years of accounting experience.
Must be proficient with QuickBooks Premier, Enterprise and Online.
Advance experience with all programs of Microsoft Office.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing is essential
Great organizational skills.
Analyzing information and dealing with complexity.
Must be observant and pay attention to detail.
Be able to work in a fast environment with minimal supervision.
Bilingual; be able to speak and write fluently in Spanish.
