Property Accountant Job Opening in Chicago, Illinois - The Scion Group is seeking an entry level Property Accountant to join our team in Chicago. We are seeking to expand our team as our portfolio continues to grow at a rapid pace. Our Chicago headquarters are located in the heart of Chicago off Michigan Avenue!
Job Summary:
Perform monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts
Effectively researching and reporting financial and operational variances
Monthly review of the revenue and contracts
Review, analyze and prepare monthly financials for assigned properties
Preparation of all monthly journal entries necessary to complete monthly financials
Maintain general ledgers on a monthly basis in accordance to GAAP
:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equalivant experience in Accounting
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Experience with RealPage or other property management software preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
Proactive, with the ability to prioritize assigned tasks
Strong analytical and technical skills
Self-motivated with good interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent written and oral communications
Excellent organizational skills
Strong attention to detail
