Job Description
Architectural Sales & Marketing Director will be responsible for increasing commercial sales, specifically, for developing and maintaining relationships with architects, designers, developers, GC?s, Plumbing Contractors, Project Owners, and Product Specifiers for VIGO. Primary sales as well as other sales-related activities.
Job Requirements
The primary responsibility of this position is to secure commercial specifications of VIGO products within the assigned territory.
Travels throughout assigned region to meet with regular and prospective customers including Architects, Designers, Developers, and General Contractors while developing strong working relationships.
Pursues new and maintains existing clients. Follows up and reports information as required including product forecast and construction schedules.
Schedules regular product knowledge seminars with architectural and design firms using VIGO architectural power point presentation.
Develops in-depth knowledge and expertise with regard to all VIGO products and installation methods by attending vendor presentations, workshops, and attending joint architectural sales calls with in-house Architect Specifiers.
Accurately reports closed/won opportunities dollar values to track the required revenue goals established for the territory.
Responds to the marketplace by providing value through being a knowledgeable rep with quick follow up.
Adheres to all regulatory guidelines and company policy as it relates to safety and our guiding principles.
Work independently, cooperatively, and enthusiastically towards the company and team's goals and directives
Provide the highest level of customer service and professionalism by generating and managing specifications from product selection through product delivery and job completion.
Set up and maintain client concerns and complaints by developing viable and fair solutions
Monitor competition by gathering current information on pricing, products, and merchandising techniques.
Maintain and increase professional and technical knowledge by reviewing product literature, manuals, and manufacturer bulletins, as well as attending vendor/manufacturer seminars/trade show whenever available.
Provide clients with current budget/pricing, product changes, and order status
Promote VIGO products at various trade shows and special events
Work closely with VIGO distribution channel
Analyze client product needs, growth patterns, and market trends
Education:
Minimum: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Experience:
Minimum: 5-8 years of architectural sales or industry experience. Preferably with plumbing fixtures, builder, or design industry.
