Tax Accountant Job Opening in Jericho, New york - Well established CPA firm is looking for a talented individual with 4+ years of public accounting (CPA firm) experience. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tax professional who wants to make a positive impact with firm clients and team members. We are a full service firm seeking an energetic and seasoned tax professional to prepare, review and manage challenging tax returns and issues. The candidate should be team oriented, flexible, have the ability to multitask, possess attention to detail, have strong organization skills and solid communication skills. Job tasks and responsibilities will include preparing / reviewing monthly write-up services, as well as preparing compliance filings such as payroll, sales, estate, corporate and individual taxes. Financial statement preparation is also part of the job responsibility.
The position will lead to mentoring, being a resource to others and assisting staff in professional development. In addition to client services, this position offers leadership opportunity.
Position Qualifications
Current 4+ years? experience with a CPA firm
Self-motivated, well organized and able to work alone as well as part of a team.
Experience in preparation of individual, corporation, partnership and fiduciary income tax returns as well as other compliance filings.
Experience with review and compilation engagements
Strong research skills and knowledgeable with current income tax regulations and filings
Ability to effectively communicate and interact with clients on a professional basis.
