Job Overview:
The Sales Coordinator supports the Sales Team through day to day administrative, report preparation, project coordination and related activities. This position also provides backup support as needed to the Accounting, Reception, and Transportation Departments.
Job Functions:
The Sales Coordinator must exhibit excellent communication skills with sales team/co-workers, vendors, and customers.
Excellent organization skills
Required to be in touch with the company's vendors and customers and understand their needs clearly and document correspondence.
Processing daily services for each load by maintaining accurate documentation
Prepare accurate load sheets to be completed for accounting processes
Monitor receipt of proper paperwork related to each individual load
Preparation for covering loads, getting POs, creating BOLs and follow through of paperwork, etc.
Knowledgeable about the company's products, the situation in the market, and demand for the products.
Work on maintaining database of sales met, but also plan strategies for sale enhancement with the help of sales team.
Development of a unique and efficient tracking system for keeping a tab on daily operations.
Assist with information gathering from available resources to aid sales team or support completion of assigned duties.
Ensure and uphold all company policies and procedures related to Sales Department transactions and monitor compliance internally.
Other assigned duties as assigned by supervisor.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software such as Word and Excel
High school diploma or GED, College degree preferred
Prior experience directly related to customer service and/or sales experience preferred * Excellent customer service skills
Excellent administrative skills, including grammatical and proofreading skills * Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written format * Excellent prioritization, organization and time management skills * Must be detail oriented * Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities * Ability to analyze and solve problems * Ability to comprehend, analyze, and systematically compile technical, statistical, and/or financial information into comprehensive reports or other formats. * Ability to plan, organize, and complete a variety of projects within established standards, objectives and time frames * Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, vendors, and customers on products and procedures * Microsoft Office software proficiency in Word and Excel
Punctual and Regular attendance is required
Ability to handle multiple personalities and issues
