Overview
The candidate is responsible for maximizing the return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems. This position ensures legal and regulatory compliance for all accounting and financial reporting functions.
This position oversees manufacturing costs, all general accounting, financial functions, cash flow activities, human resources, payroll and risk management.
The candidate is responsible for implementing and maintaining a system of internal controls that will ensure that company assets are adequately safeguarded and that all financial reporting is prepared in compliance with all financial policies and GAAP.
This position serves as the primary point of contact for the selection and implementation of the organization?s information systems. Ensure information systems are efficient so as to increase its efficiency and capacity to meet its strategic goals.
The ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal skills and can work independently across all functions actively contribute towards the financial planning and strategic growth of the organization as a key member of the Strategic Management Team.
Responsibilities
Accounting, Admin, IT, Payroll, Financial Systems and Financial Controls Responsible for the delivery of costs effective and efficient accounting and financial systems, policies and processes that meet the current and future business requirements of the Company.
Cash and Risk Management
Oversee the cash management function, including bank relationships. Develop cash flow forecasting and maintain a long-term cash forecast.
Leadership
Provide coaching, guidance and support, set professional development plans to assist employees to reach their full potential.
Management Reporting
Develop regular reporting and analysis, including key metrics reports, and conduct ad hoc financial analysis to be presented monthly, quarterly and year-to-date including but not limited to financials with accompanying analysis of results as compared to last year and budget.
Budgeting and Financial Modeling
Lead the annual business plan development and budgeting process. Work closely with management, sales group, manufacturing, distribution and logistics department managers on budgeting and forecasting.
Managing, Leading, Strategic Thinking and Planning Skills
Have the ability to communicate effectively and lead others through change and with new strategic initiatives, strategy development and implementation.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting or Finance (Master?s preferred)(CPA preferred).
Minimum 10 years of experience in:
Financial management experience with technical responsibilities in general ledger, budgeting and forecasting and cost accounting procedures and practices.
Manufacturing experience with distribution and freight logistics exposure.
Manage a financial and accounting operation in a medium or large-size company.
Proven experience in selecting and the implementation of new software programs.
Sage X3 ERP experience helpful.
Must be flexible and able to operate in a fast-paced environment.
Prioritize work responsibilities efficiently.
Innovative and adaptable person who is comfortable working independently to ensure all responsibilities and tasks are successfully completed.
Confident and ?hands on? personality with strong problem solving and management skills
Demonstrate the skills to work with co-workers, upper management, manufacturing personnel and communicate changes and ideas effectively (written and oral).
Impeccable mathematics and analytical abilities, organized with attention to detail, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
