General Ledger Accountant Job Opening in Charlotte, North carolina - POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Facilitate month end closing schedule, including, but not limited to:
Preparing and reviewing supporting schedules
Preparing and analyzing monthly account reconciliations
Prepaid assets and related recognitions
Expense accruals
Prepaid Insurance
Fixed Assets
Revenue Recognition
Reviewing and analyzing account reconciliations prepared by others
General ledger analysis
Financial Statement review and variance analysis
Assist with the annual financial audit
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales and use tax and gross receipts filings
Prepare sales and use tax reports and remit payments
Research reporting requirements in new jurisdictions
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
5+ years related work experience: telecommunications, manufacturing or commercial construction experience is preferred, but not required.
Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics SL is a plus.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting processes.
Ability to meet assigned deadlines.
