POSITION SUMMARY
The Financial Accountant assists the EarthKind?s Accounting Leadership team with developing adapting processes to support a fast ?paced, rapidly growing company. He/she mainly prepares financial statements; collects and analyzes financial data; ensures that all reporting is in compliance with GAAP reporting guidelines and assists external auditors as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
Knowledgeable in GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
10 years? experience in all areas of Accounting A/R, A/P, Payroll, Inventory Budgets, Profitability and Financial Reporting
Must have PC proficiency with various software applications to include MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Good Cost Accounting skills preferred
Manufacturing background a plus
Knowledge of NetSuite ERP a plus

Attention to detail and accuracy is critical.
Highly organized and consistent in following structured processes monthly, quarterly, and annually.

Proficient at providing support to management and team members.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Collect data and develop high level monthly and quarterly financial reporting and analysis in compliance with GAAP for the management and executive team members.
Manage day-to-day A/P and A/R activities to ensure that there is a redundant process backup in place for every critical operation. Resolve issues as required.
Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Execute and monitor the month, quarter and year-end closeout accounting to include account reconciliations, adjusting journal entry posting, accrual/deferral calculations and entries, and closing of the period in ERP, sales analysis, cost accounting, budget analysis
Payroll management to include bi weekly payroll processing and expense
Assist with Cash flow requirements
Responsible for all bank reconciliations
Maintain and submit Sales and Use tax filings
Prepare and submit year-end tax data
Responsible for all ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests
Complete periodic regulatory submissions
Assist/participate in annual budgeting process
