National Accounts Sales Executive Job Opening in Overland Park, Kansas - JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for retention and expansion of business with current and new national accounts concerning bulk, bag and specialty flour products. Manage the sales process from beginning to end (sale, execution and collection). Communicate market conditions and insights to the sales and management team. This position reports to the V.P. Sales. Working closely and communicating with territory sales managers, sales support team, merchandising, technical services, mill managers and accounting will be required
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages National Accounts
Activities include:
Manages National Accounts for sales and profit goals.
Builds multi-level relationships for value creation.
Reviews and analyzes sales performance against plan to determine effectiveness.
Establishes short and long-term sales strategies.
Optimizes customer and product mix management within territories.
Informs customers about available supply, pricing, services and new products.
Keeps records and prepares requested reports as appropriate.
Travels to customer locations to make presentations, gain knowledge and develop deep relationships.
Assists in strategic planning and mill rationalization process.
Ensures communication, cooperation and coordination between National Accounts and Grain Craft teams.
Understands the functionality of products and applications.
Attends and supports industry functions and conventions.
A solutions provider at strategic accounts to continue to enhance profitability.
Provides peer mentoring role to the sales team.
Develops and exhibits leadership skills.
Provides back up on major accounts.
Commodities.
Understanding of Commodity Futures and flour pricing components.
Ability to form market opinions and clearly communicate for the benefit of both the company and customer.
Proactively manage market positions for customer and company mutual success.
Ability to execute company strategies related to market timing.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor?s Degree with Business, Ag Business, Ag Economics, Sales or Marketing focus
7+ years of related experience
Must have expertise in the:
Ability to execute a selling strategy as outlined by senior management.
Exceptional interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
Ability to assess problems, define core issues, collect data, separate facts from impressions and gather cross-functional resources.
Ability to analyze customer information, industry trends and company capabilities to design and implement a comprehensive tactical plan that will deliver the intended results.
Capability to employ efficient time management techniques performing all the required work within a reasonable time frame.
Ability to use the available computer software as required by the company and/or customer.
Excellent negotiation skills.
Comfortable in all settings from shop floor to board room.
Ability to professionally entertain customers in diverse settings with proper conduct.
Ability to problem solve through complex inputs.
Ability to travel as necessary.
Ability to juggle numerous tasks.
Copes well with stress and deadlines.
Contributes innovative ways of doing things.
Able to complete tasks without continuous prompting.
High energy and a service attitude.
This position requires excellent team , analytical and decision-making skills.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work will require frequent travel. This position will be subject to aggressive timetables and challenging sales goals. Multiple competing demands are likely. Some weekends will be required for conventions/food shows. Normal working conditions will include traveling by car/plane to customer plants/offices from the office. Expense management is expected always. Travel arrangements made as needed.
