The Information Technology team is currently seeking to fill the open position of Software Developer. The Software Developer position is an exciting opportunity to build PESI's competitive advantage by developing, enhancing and implementing new and innovative systems and tools that supports PESI?s overall strategy.
Responsibilities:
Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
Improves operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures.
Develops software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.
Preparation of training manuals for users
Maintaining the systems once they are up and running
Requirements:
Bachelor?s Degree in computer science, software engineering or MIS or related field and/or relevant software development experience
5-7 years? experience in as a developer, project lead experience preferred
Develop and implement software systems and applications to achieve objectives
Apply theories of decision analysis to forecasting and linear programming
Analyze current systems and create, test, implement, maintain and document programs through knowledge of the system-development cycle
Able to effectively juggle multiple projects and manage changing initiatives, while meeting deadlines
Excellent problem solving skills in challenging and fast paced environments
Self-motivated and career-minded individual
