Tax Preparer / Staff accountant Job Opening in Toluca Lake, California - Busy CPA practice needs an accountant. Our office is fast paced, demanding, and team-oriented. Our professionals pride themselves on understanding our clients' business strategy and needs, providing a broad range of federal, state, local and international tax services to meet those needs. We are currently seeking an accountant to join our practice.
Responsibilities:
The accountant is responsible for learning and using technical skills and working as part of a team in carrying out tasks under minimal coaching and supervision. This person will assist with the preparation of individual, corporate and partnership tax returns; process payroll and remit payroll tax to the government agencies; prepare sales tax returns; utilize accounting program (QuickBooks) in preparing tax returns.
Qualifications:
Must have two years of public accounting / tax experience with an accounting firm
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experiences
Must have experience with individual, corporation, partnerships taxation
Must have experience with QuickBooks
Experience with Payroll and Sales tax is a plus
Detail oriented with ability to multi task
Excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to articulate complex information
Strong accounting and analytical skills
