Inside Sales Representative Job Opening in Allentown, Pennsylvania - Indeed Hire, in partnership with ATAS International Inc. is looking for an Inside Sales Reporesentative to join their organization.
SUMMARY
Promotes company products and services via proactive approach. Responds to general inquiries, provides customers with requested information, prepares project estimates, and order entry. Responsible for providing technical services and support. Responsible for coordination of project follow-up with customers and company sales people.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Other duties may be assigned based on business needs.
Generates new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner.
Acts as liaison between customers and various departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
Determines customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions.
Recommends products based on cost, availability, specifications or to increase customer satisfaction.
Uses proactive sales approach by utilizing sales tools to establish contacts, appointments, requests to aid the efforts of the territory manager.
Presents price, credit and terms in accordance with standard procedures and customer's classification level.
Accurately processes customer transactions such as purchase orders, quotations and returns.
Increases sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling and add-on sales.
Educates customers about terminology, features and benefits or products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction.
Monitors scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed.
Contacts customers following sale to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve complaints.
Fills requests for literature, information and/or product samples.
Identifies trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction.
Manages time effectively, meets personal goals and works effectively with co-workers.
Maintains proficiency in using personal computers, data entry terminal and other common office equipment and software.
Follows company policies and procedures.
Presents a professional image always to customers and vendors.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Blueprint reading, basic computer skills, communication skills, problem-solving ability, and basic mathematical skills.
Ability to respond to a fast-paced work environment and handle multiple tasks.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, or members of the business community.
Ability to effectively present information to top management, and customers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
