Staff Accountant Job Opening in Cleveland, Ohio - Westside/Westlake Area

UCFS is currently in need of an Accountant to join our Accounting team at our World Headquarters located in Westlake, Ohio.
Responsibilities:
Month-end close activities including the preparation and review of journal entries.
Accurate internal and external financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Develop, maintain and prepare budget and cost reports for financial planning purposes.
Prepare/review monthly reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts; ensure resolution of reconciling items.
Provide financial information for quarter-end and year-end reporting, the year-end audit and state sales finance company licensing renewals and annual reports.
Manage international accounting activities including monthly closings.
Oversee timely and accurate completion of:
Cash balancing
General ledger posting and maintenance
Customer account maintenance
Daily reporting of merchant payables and accounts payable
Record retention and back-up withholding/1099 reporting
Assist in automation of accounting processes to drive efficiency, improve timeliness of financial reporting and provide management with timely, relevant business information.
The successful candidate will have the ability to multi-task in a busy, fast-paced environment. Must be detail-oriented, have strong communication skills, and have excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
Qualifications:
BS in Accounting is required
CPA and/or MBA a plus but not required
5+ years of Accounting experience
