The Electrical Test & Development Engineer will be responsible for the following:
The Electrical Test & Development Engineer will be responsible for proposing, developing and justifying any new functions (hardware, software, etc.) for electronic products.
Developing and writing hardware and software specifications for products currently in development.
Performing confirmation testing on the actual product and simulators.
Troubleshooting and fixing related electrical systems problems.
Writing and presenting reports.
Interfacing with and managing suppliers on external hardware or software development.
Working with other internal departments to resolve technical issues.
Researching new technologies and market trends for electronic products.
Making proposals for future electronic product functions.
The Electrical Test & Development Engineer position requires the following:
The Electrical Test & Development Engineer requires a minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in electrical engineering or test engineering for electronic products.
Experience in the automotive or related industry (e.g., mobile construction equipment, off-road vehicles, heavy truck, aerospace, or other vehicles) is preferred.
Knowledge of electrical hardware and software fundamentals required.
Experience in the use of electronic testing/ measuring equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, ESD equipment, etc.).
Experience with troubleshooting hardware and/or product function failures involving electronic systems or components.
Experience with CAN and/or LIN communication protocols a definite plus.
Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other technical software.
Excellent communication/ interpersonal skills required.
A Bachelor?s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field is required.
