Assistant Pre-K & Kinder Director Job Opening in Goodyear, Arizona - PK-8 Charter school seeking an Assistant Pre-K & Kinder Director
The Assistant Pre-K & Kinder Director is a rewarding role that requires exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Drawing on your successful experience and high standards, the Assistant Director will help create and maintain a loving and nurturing learning environment for children, while assisting with business administration, marketing, and financial operations.
The Assistant Director assists the Director in implementing the following Responsibilities:
1. Implements and promotes the school's mission, policies and procedures.
2. Trains, coordinates, and supervises staff members, maintaining a record on each employee.
3. Enrollment and parent interviews.
4. Ensures appropriate integration of Preschool & Kindergarten programs for all class levels.
5. Develops and implements summer program for Preschool & Kindergarten, with Board approval, when applicable.
6. Works with staff to provide a well-rounded program to include academics, music and recreation.
7. Maintains an accurate accounting of program supplies and equipment, purchasing supplies as needed.
8. Administers the work of the Preschool & Kindergarten teams by encouraging teamwork and mutual support, providing leadership to staff members.
9. Holds regular staff meetings and training.
10. Maintains adequate and accurate work schedules for the staff, as well as records of attendance in compliance with set ratio of student to staff.
11. Responsible for the collection of fees.
12. Responsible for reviewing the accuracy of recorded staff time worked, to include regular hours, sick time, and vacation hours for each pay period.
13. Responsible for accurate financial record keeping.
14. Maintains all required State and Federal records and makes them available for inspection.
15. Maintains a current record for each student for inspection by those authorized.
16. Ensures all applicable licenses and certificates are current and available for inspection.
17. Ensures toys, equipment, and facilities are clean and in good repair.
18. Makes unscheduled visits to all classrooms.
:
1. Associate degree or higher.
2. Minimum of 2 years experience working with children in a Preschool or early developmental education environment.
3. Proof of written and oral communication skills.
4. Demonstrated flexibility and agility for work with children in an ever-changing environment.
5. Good human relations with the ability to communicate in a courteous manner.
:
1. Valid Arizona Driver's License
2. Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
3. Valid Arizona Food Handler Card
