Reports to: General Retail Manager
JOB SUMMARY:
Houndstooth Clothiers headquartered in Fayetteville, Arkansas is seeking an accountant-full charge bookkeeper that will report to the Operations Manager with mentoring and training by a CFO consultant.
The Company has experienced tremendous growth and is looking to strengthen its accounting and finance function. This will be a hands on position to support the accounting in key areas to close the books and produce financial statements in a timely and accurate manner.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain accounting records and produce financial statements for review for multiple locations including:
Daily invoicing and reconciliation
Cash applications and daily tie out
Preparing journal entries
Cash and other balance sheet reconciliations
Financial analysis of variances
Prepare Journal entries
Ensure bank deposits are made in a timely manner with good internal controls.
Responsible for preparing the payroll file to submit to payroll processing company
Must be able to exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting/Finance (or 2 year degree with equivalent experience).
3-5 or more years of accounting experience
Superior organization and time management skills for prioritizing and managing multiple projects.
Strong written and oral communication skills as well as experience in MS Excel, and General Ledger Accounting systems (QuickBooks experience a plus but not required).
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage competing deadlines.
