Our dedicated staff provides much needed, highly specialized, and compassionate psychiatric care for our aging population. Our fast-growing health system provides cutting edge treatment for an expansive patient population, with a focus on quality. Because of that, we offer an 8:1 ratio of patients to RN/LPN, competitive pay and shift differentials, and tuition reimbursement.

Available Shifts:
12-Hour, Full-Time (FT) Day shift
12-Hour, Full-Time (FT) Night shift
PRN ? ALL SHIFTS
Responsibilities:
Provides support for nurses and patients.
Displays concern and initiative--our patients come first in every situation.
Maintain an orderly environment consistent with the policies and procedures of Assurance Health.
Helps provide excellent care to the patients we serve.
Assists with admissions, transfers, and discharges of patients.
Promptly responds to call system and tends to patients needs.
Takes vitals, glucose tests, or bladder scans upon request.
Assists in bathing--both hygiene and therapeutic.
Aids in providing and/or teaches basic hygiene skills (oral, nail, hair, skin).
Assists in bedding of patients.
Makes and keep clean all open, closed, and occupied beds.
Performs perineal care.
Assists in nourishment of patients.
Walks, moves, and adjust patients consistent with nursing procedures and/or doctor's orders.
Maintains charts and records; moves charts to archives upon discharge.
Light office duties.
Provides compassionate care with a professional approach and confidentiality.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Ability to function effectively in team environment.
Professional attitude required.
Ability to communicate effectively with staff, healthcare providers, and social service providers regarding the patient?s needs.
Understanding of diverse patient populations.
Excellent organizational skills regarding independently managing workload and related responsibilities.

Licenses: Valid, unrestricted CNA license in the State of Indiana.
Work Experience: New graduates are encouraged to apply for the position.
Preferred: 1 year experience in Geriatric/Senior Behavioral Nursing.
