Accountant (General Ledger) 17-141 Job Opening in Honolulu, Hawaii - Perform daily accounting activities for Corporate. Perform period-end closing procedures including balance sheet reconciliations.
Job Responsibilities: Maximum of ten responsibilities, in order of percentage of time spent on functions from longest to shortest; do not list anything that does not represent at least 10% of the job?s time. Please include supervisory responsibilities.
1.
Prepare and post journal entries for corporate and Aston Kaanapali Shores Restaurant and the Aston Islander on the Beach (Pool Bar).
2.
Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley processes and procedures are followed and the appropriate documentation exists.
3.
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and supporting documentation for Corporate.
4.
Assist with the periodic closing (monthly, quarterly, and annual) processes to ensure compliance with both internal and external audit requirements as they relate to GAAP.
5.
Billing to HOAs.
6.
Code invoices and submit to Accounts Payable for processing.
7.
Compute and prepare GET returns.
8.
Reconcile bank reconciliations.
9.
Perform other duties as assigned.
10.
Prepare monthly financial statement.

Job Qualifications: Describe the minimum qualifications needed to complete the job responsibilities.
Education
BS degree/diploma or equivalent additional experience.
Experience
3 or more years experience in accounting. Verbal and written communication ability and strong MS Excel skills required. Oracle experience preferred.
