Kennedy Club Fitness is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager that will be responsible for all accounting functions, A/P; A/R; G/L; Financial statements and Payroll for four Health and Fitness clubs and four other entities.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Owner/CFO of Kennedy Club Fitness, and will play an important role coordinating and reporting accurate financial information to the Owner/CFO and the Management Team.
Responsibilities and Duties
Responsible for day to day financial information for 4 Health and Fitness Clubs.
Perform daily/monthly Bank Reconciliations for 8 entities
A/P - Post invoices to appropriate expense categories; reconcile vendor statements; cut AP checks twice weekly; work with vendors.
A/R - Assist Operations Manager and A/R staff, which is responsible for EFT billing and quality of information entered into the Club management system.
G/L - Post Club Management transactions to the General Ledger twice weekly.
Financial statements - Gather all monthly transactions and reconcile General Ledger accounts to produce monthly Financial Statements for 8 entities. Coordinate with CPA for annual tax return preparation.
Payroll - Coordinate with Payroll Manager to account for all payroll functions and periodic payroll reports, and act as backup to Payroll Manager.
Prepare Quarterly Sales Tax Returns for 4 entities.
Prepare Annual 571-L Personal Property Tax returns for 4 entities.
Maintain equipment inventory for 4 entities for depreciation schedules, and 571-L tax returns.
Health Insurance Administrator - Conduct Annual Open Enrollment for insurance. Reconcile monthly insurance bills; assist employees with insurance changes; assist new qualified employees with insurance paperwork.
Workers Comp - Coordinate with Insurance Broker to renew Workers Comp Insurance. Prepare information for annual Workers Comp audit. Reconcile audit results.
Retail inventory control and product set up for 4 entities. Coordinate with each entity's retail inventory director.
Qualifications
5 years in Accounting leadership role
Understand Accounting Principles and Procedures
Comfortable with Financial Statement production and formatting
Computer skills with Accounting programs, Word and Excel
Communications - Strong verbal and written communication skills
Detail oriented; organized, efficient and able to meet deadlines
Team Player that can work with many different personalities
Timeline and Compensation
Position will start as Part time, 20 to 30 hours per week, 9/1/17. Part time hours will continue through 12/31/17 for training purposes at $25 per hour.
Full time position will commence 1/1/18 at an annual salary range of $60,000 to $65,000 depending on qualifications and experience.

Office location is at Kennedy Club Fitness Atascadero, where the gym is right outside the door.
