Paramedic - FM Ambulance Job Opening in Fargo, North dakota - JOB SUMMARY
Responds to an emergency call, assesses the situation, diagnoses and treats patients for emergency needs; reports patient information to medical staff in a timely and accurate manner. Obtains a basic medical history and physical examination of the patient, and assesses the situation's urgency and seriousness. Provides emergency care at the scene and during transit to the hospital. Utilizes necessary medical equipment to treat the patient and ascertains the extent of their injuries or illness. Communicates with the medical care facility about the patient's condition, status and time of arrival.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
The paramedic provides pre-hospital emergency medical care to ill or injured patients. Shift times vary according to scheduling needs. This position will staff 911 shifts, special events, and long distance transfers.

QUALIFICATIONS
Credential : National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians certification as a Paramedic is required prior to hiring.
ND and MN licenses will be applied for upon acceptance of offer with assistance from the Clinical Coordinator. Must be eligible to be licensed within 30 days in both states.
Healthcare provider CPR, ACLS, and PALS required within 30 days of hire.
Education : High school diploma or equivalent required. EMS experience preferred.
