Android Developer Job Opening in Nashville, Tennessee - Android Developer
We are currently seeking an Android Developer to join our team in Nashville, TN. The Android Developer will be involved in the design, installation, testing and maintenance of software and hardware systems from Android tablets to servers. Candidates need to be in the Nashville, TN area - this is not a remote opportunity.
Android Developer Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Responsibilities included, but are not limited to, designing and coordinating application design/plans with other team members like the development team, product owner or client.
Creating, maintaining and implementing source code and documentation for applications.
Reviewing and analyzing current systems
Proposing system improvements along with the associated costs breakdowns
Creating solutions and writing the software to customer specification
Testing/QA of product in a simulated live environment
Implementation of new products in live environments
Maintaining production and development systems
Creating and maintaining all documentation including training manuals
Occasional evening or weekend work hours
Troubleshooting hardware/software issues with end users/customers
Android Developer Qualifications :
Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or related field and a minimum of 5 years related experience.
Technical certifications a plus.
Experience in Linux, PHP and/or Python a must
Experience with Java, Android Studio and Android Mobile App Development
Experience with HTML and JavaScript required
Experience with C, C#, , and other languages are a plus
Understands how to program scalable solutions
Demonstrated ability to learn and maintain current technologies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Team-oriented and collaboration skills
An appreciation of the bigger business picture, not just its IT requirements
Experience with software development tools like Jira/Confluence
Experience with Source Code Management (SCM) tools like Git and services like GitHub
Additional Skills:
The following technical skills are desirable and will be considered as a plus:
Scrum or experience in similar Agile development methodologies
Web 2.0 Technologies such as AngularJS, jQuery, CSS3, HTLM5, Less
Open Source Application Frameworks such as Spring Framework, Hibernate, Log4j, Eclipse RCP
Integrated Development Environments, Case Tools, Design Patterns, and Object Oriented Development
XML and related technologies such as XSLT, XSD, XQuery, XPath, Soap UI
RDBMS such as MSSQL and Oracle
ESB technologies such as Mule, Informatica, etc.
Web and Java EE/J2EE Application Services such as Apache, Tomcat, Oracle, JBoss, IIS, etc.
Continuous Integration (CI) such as Jenkins or Bamboo
