Tax Accountant Job Opening in Sioux City, Iowa - Elite Staffing LLC is seeking qualified candidates for a CPA/Tax Accountant position with one of our client companies in the Sioux City area.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze financial and tax records and reports; maintains and updates income and tax projection models based on both historical and estimated data.
Performs tax compliance tasks, review of tax notices for formulating responses, preparation of tax payments and extensions, information reporting, and other regulatory requirements.
Internal tax return preparation, maintain records, analyze and research tax issues, and provide support during audits.
Confirms accuracy of tax and financial reports and interprets results to upper management.
Assists in relationship management, governance and accountability of external tax and investment partners. Maintains internal tax calendar.
Perform and provide guidance, training and technical guidance to less experienced accountants to ensure accurate, timely completion of tax-related and other accounting activities.
Organize and compile data to support tax compliance, assisting outside tax accountants with tax return preparation, execute tax filings and compile tax records.
Perform various financial, accounting, audit and tax analysis projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
CPA preferred, Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in Accounting required
7 - 10 years experience in accounting and financial reporting
Accounting systems with integrated financial reporting modules, including GL, AP, FA. Microsoft Dynamics (Great Plains) exposure is a plus.
Financial statement production and consolidations (Bal Sheet, Inc Stmt, Cash Flow) required; financial analysis / budgeting / forecasting - preferred.
MS Office applications ? strong to advanced Excel skills required.
