Certified teachers awesome opportunity Job Opening in phoenix, Arizona - Certified teachers awesome opportunity Online EFL Position Certified Educators Live Online Video/Phone EFL/ESL Program VLE-Virtual Language Experience (formerly Language Development Systems) and the Korean Educational Broadcasting System (EBS- http: ) are working on joint educational projects that are redefining education in South Korea. This project utilizes video conferencing technology and phones to connect state licensed U.S. teachers with South Korean students. Please take a look at our project websites, http: . The program has grown from 30 schools to over 150 schools in the last two years and we need passionate, certified educators to meet the growing demand for our services. Payment -$15/hr must be certified and have a degree for one program, only a degree for the other. -This is a part-time job; you will be hired as an independent contractor (this means that you deduct your own taxes and fill out a W-9, ( / ). Teacher Qualifications - State teaching license (substitute teaching license is acceptable too) BA degree or higher in Education or similar area. Other Requirements - High speed internet connection (direct connection to router must be available) 10-12 megs minimum - MUST HAVE a web camera, external headset with microphone. - Computer with at least 2.5 GHZ processing speed and duo core or quad core processor (a test will be done to see if your computer and connection are compatible with Korea) No exceptions if you have to upgrade your computer it will be at your expense and your choice. -MUST HAVE Windows Vista or 7 with IE Explorer 7 or higher Time -2-5 Hours/day - Shifts are between 6:00 am- 9:00 am EST on M-F (we prefer teachers that are available for the entire shift but can accommodate teachers that are available for a minimum of two hours in this block of time) As well as 10 pm-1:00am . Three different programs. Duration -The start date varies for each program. Most of our programs will be starting in the next week. Location -You can work from anywhere you have access to a direct high-speed internet connection. (No wireless connections, sorry no exceptions) Students -Small group classes, 1-2 students in a class, small classrooms co-teaching Korean public school students in rural, underserved areas as well as some specialized classes with adults. Curriculum/Training -Curriculum and training will be provided for you. The curriculum has been developed to meet the Korean national standards for English education. We provide a PPT and or video for each lesson and this is used to facilitate conversation with students. -Group virtual training session and recorded interviews will be used to screen candidates for the program. Our Korean clients make the final decisions for choosing teachers. Overview of Recruiting/Training Process 1. Email resume and scanned copies of teaching license 2. Initial Interview 3. Technology screening (10-15 minutes using our own proprietary system) 4. Audio visual checks with a video interview at the end. 5.
