Hotel Event & Sales Manager Job Opening in Olema, California - Job Overview
Terrific opportunity for a self motivated professional who will work closely with the Director of Operations & Owner to develop and grown our Wedding & Group business. General duties will include conducting tours and selling, client follow-up via phone and email, contract signings, meetings to detail out events with clients, assisting with event set-up, and executing events. Assisting the Lodge Manager with day to day duties in their absence.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years experience in event sales and coordination (ideally within a venue; bridal experience a huge plus)
Professional appearance Hospitality-Driven personality -- warm, cordial and generous disposition in dealing with guests
Sales experience or demonstrated aptitude/mindset
Must be highly organized and detail-oriented
Able to be gracious under pressure and make fast, efficient and creative decisions in dealing with problems that arise during events and with clients
Solid listening and writing skills Knowledgeable in using a computer for data entry, general Office programs, etc.
Ability to multitask and work within an often fast-paced and hectic environment Timely and accurate follow-through with clients
Ability to coach part-time hourly staff (servers, bartenders, etc.) on policies and procedures Aesthetic sensibility for design and decor
Unflagging maturity and sense of responsibility toward client satisfaction
Some background with food and/or wine a plus
Schedule This position requires a flexible schedule. Must be able to work weekends and work evenings when an event is being held. Opportunity to work between Mill Valley office and onsite at the property.
