We are in need of a Principal Engineer Programmer to develop code and provide direct production software support to multiple external factories. You will work with production teams to develop, test, validate and implement software for equipment and Blood Glucose Meter (BGM) configuration. You will support external factory equipment, processes, and projects to improve sensing, controls, and data reporting systems. You will troubleshoot software-related customer complaints and track effectiveness of related improvements.

What you?ll be doing for us:
You will configure BGM software and assist QA personnel to upload (push) software modifications to the contract manufacturer using specific software language. Ensure processes are robust, punctual, and organized.
You will provide troubleshooting support to R&D on Blood Glucose Meter software related issues or customer field complaints/returns. Document and track software related changes and support procedures relating to such changes
You will participate with engineers in continuous improvement activities including software change development, validation and implementation in accordance with the Ascensia Diabetes Care Software Change Management procedures.
You will assist in creating test plans for equipment at supplier and customer facilities. You will have a key role in installation and start-up control loop debug and tuning.
You will create and maintain documents including creation/revision of documentation, manufacturing or process work instructions and standard operating procedures.
You will ensure that regulatory compliance is being met in areas associated with maintenance; such as GMPs, Environmental, Safety, FDA, ISO, etc.
Skills & competencies you?ll need for success:
Bachelor?s Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science
Direct practical experience in programming and troubleshooting in Visual Basic , SQL Server and Visual Studio languages
Minimum 5 years of direct programming experience required.
Master?s Degree in Computer Science or MBA strongly desired; but not required
Experience developing Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) procedures and supervising all aspects of the FAT?s.
Experience in the medical device and/or pharmaceutical products industries is preferred, but not required.
Requires a self-motivated individual who is capable of providing resolutions to difficult technical challenges. Deals with changing priorities without losing sight of the overall business direction.
Demonstrates a high level of integrity and must act confidently and positively in representation of the Site to senior management, business heads, vendors, customers and the community.
Excellent time and project management skills
Detail oriented, self-directed and able to prioritize responsibilities
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Excellent written, verbal, inter-personal and organizational skills
Military Experience Preferred
