We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. The Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer will work closely with the Development/Analyst teams and project stakeholders to understand project requirements and make sure those requirements have been met. The QA Engineer is responsible for creating testing plans and acceptance criteria, scoping bugs, gathering preconditions, and other information to help locate and resolve issues, schedule and implement testing activities, track tickets (issues) throughout their lifecycle and the proactive discovery of bugs in the system. The ability to identify and concisely report possible areas of improvement with the User (UI/UX) is also important.
JOB DUTIES
Reviewing requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
Creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and use cases
Prioritizing and planning testing activities to thoroughly review features and/or bug fixes
Design, develop, and execute automated scripts using Telerik Test Studio
Identify, scope, record, thoroughly document and track bugs to resolution
Perform thorough regression testing
Develop and apply testing procedures for new and existing products
Communicate with internal teams (developers, analysts, and customer support) to identify requirements and ensure a smooth deployment process
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Ability to learn complex and multifaceted web based software applications
Self-motivated learner with good multitasking abilities
6 months work experience in software or website quality assurance
PREFERRED SKILLS
Pursuing a degree in a software development related field
Experience with Telerik Test Studio
Experience with SQL
