Milling Machinist Job Opening in Dover, New hampshire - 1st Shift Milling Operator
North East Precision CNC is a custom CNC Lathe and Milling shop that specializes in machining jobs for the government, military, pharmaceutical companies, semi-conductor industries, oil and gas, gun parts as well as food and beverage industries. North East Precision CNC has been in operation for over 30 years, located in Dover, NH just off the Spaulding Turnpike.
Job Description;
CNC mill set-up and operate. Work from customer prints, set-up CNC machine tools including fixturing, tooling and programming. 100% inspection and documentation of first piece measurements. Maintain adjustment of machine to produce quality product throughout entire job run. Maintain an efficient run rate. Consistently seek opportunities for process improvements. Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work environment. A positive and cooperative work attitude is essential.
Job Requirements;
Five years? experience CNC mill set-up and operation
High School Diploma or Equivalent, Trade school a plus
Must be able to read G-code
Knowledge of CAD/CAM Programming
Able to program, set-up, and operate a variety of CNC machining centers with Fanuc controls
Able to read and understand drawings/part specifications
Experience and ability with measuring tools, calipers, micrometers
Duties and Responsibilities;
Inspection and documentation as required
Assure all manufactured parts adhere to customer requirements and procedures
Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and reports discrepancies found.
Working knowledge of blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
Grind, file, or sand surfaces of metal items, utilizing a variety of hand tools, power tools, and machines.
Move materials and maintain work area
Responsible for visual and physical quality of the parts being loaded and unloaded.
Have the ability to identify and replace any broken or worn tools and make tool offsets.
Be able to do setups of previously proven jobs with little instruction.
Examination of surfaces in order to find defects.
Removal of defects and smoothing of uneven surfaces.
Ensures on-time delivery by meeting established cycle times; making recommendations to decrease setup and cycle times
Ensures quality, assists in reducing costs and continuously improves productivity by accurately tracking job time through bar coding or other means.
