Staff Auditor Job Opening in Sacramento, California - We are an established full service CPA firm based in Sacramento, has an immediate need for an experienced Auditor. The successful candidate should have a minimum of 1+ years? experience in public accounting.
The position includes the following duties:
Perform most engagement procedures with supervision and work well with the engagement team through completion of the project.
Execute auditing assignments including but not limited to the areas of cash, receivables, inventory, fixed assets, accrued expenses, payroll and expenses.
Assist the tax department when needed.
Work at client locations.
Put in the hours required to get engagements completed.
Willingness to travel approximately 10-15% of the time.
The successful candidate will also demonstrate the following qualifications:
Candidates should have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting or a closely related field. Need to be eligible to sit for CPA exam.
An active CPA license is a plus.
Experience planning and conducting audits and supervising staff.
Excellent analytical and writing skills.
Strong verbal communication.
Commitment to producing quality work, positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Nonprofit and governmental experience is a plus.
Candidates must have a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
Experience with QuickBooks Pro, CS Engagement, Lacerte, and PPC's SMART Practice Aids software is a plus.
Government accounting/auditing experience is a plus.
