Accounting Team Leader Job Opening in Saint Johns, Michigan - Supervise general and project accounting team, and utilize internal controls to ensure task completion. Function as an effective member of a highly productive, cross-functional team. Collaborate to complete all daily, weekly, and monthly tasks using lean administrative processes. Create continuous improvement and design visual metrics to determine the group?s ability to perform daily work.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Coordinate production of weekly and monthly distribution of payments to suppliers
Oversee the Credit Scoring Process which includes Credit Applications, renewals/updating, setting limits.
Ensuring the accounting staff are following all standards and establishing new needed standards.
Use project management techniques and visual tools to create improvements in the workgroup.
Assist in monthly closing, reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts with work papers
Responsible for the managing and maintaining prepay processes
Using new technologies to improve the work flow of the Accounting processes.
Credit Risk Management
Invoicing, payment posting and collections for past due accounts
Manage and maintain fixed assets & capitalization for both financial reporting and tax compliance
Acknowledging or confirming orders after hours as needed
Responsible for completing annual United States Census Reports
To be considered for this position, you must be able to efficiently and effectively perform all responsibilities above and possesses a minimum of the qualifications listed below:
Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting
3+ years of experience in accounting field
Successful team/staff management experience
Experience with ERP systems (JDEdwards specifically a plus)
Excellent customer service ability & performance
Proficient Microsoft Office skills
Excellent work organization and process execution
