What Matters Most:
5+ years accounting experience with multiple entities and generating financial statements
Extremely proficient with MS Office, internet, email, Quickbooks Online
Bachelor?s degree in accounting strongly preferred, but equal experience is accepted
About Us: We are a small and growing real estate investment and property management firm based in Portland with a portfolio of multifamily housing properties in Oregon, California, Arizona, Colorado and beyond. We have 45+ employees throughout these states, and a small Corporate Office of four individuals.
We are looking for a high-energy, ambitious, and sharp candidate to join our team as an Accountant! This person is responsible for the overall financial needs of our company ? from accounts payables and monthly financial reporting to amortizations and budgeting. This is a new 1-of-1 position, meaning that this position is new to our Company and the individual will be the sole person in this role. Thus, it would be perfect for an autonomous self-starter who loves to establish and implement processes and procedures.
Essential functions include:
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, positive attitude, professional demeanor, fun personality
Small business accounting: expense reimbursements, payroll, bonuses
Monthly financial statement preparation
Accounts payables, general ledger, journal entries
Monthly bank reconciliations for each entity
Record and amortize prepaid items such as insurance, property taxes and loan fees
Preparation and review of annual property budgets
1099 preparations
Coordinate tax preparations with our CPA
Read, understand, and interpret partnership agreements
Our Accountant will be able to have a BIG impact on our company; we?re looking for someone that is up for the task and who is willing to personally and professionally grow with us.
Details: This position?s salary has a baseline of $56,000+. Additional compensation dependent upon experience. Bonuses based on performance and outstanding efforts and contributions. Position begins February, 2017. Other considerations:
