Sales Account Executive Job Opening in Overland Park, Kansas - Relationship Building. Allied National is seeking a bright and motivated Sales Account Executive (AE) who is responsible for agent prospecting, recruiting, training, and management of the organization?s sales and sales promotion activities. This position is all about building relationships and GA and Broker experience is strongly preferred.
The AE is responsible for working with all Allied sales channels (SC?s) including independent agents and all distribution channels that sell Allied?s group benefit products.
Allied does not sell directly to employer groups. The AE works with retail agents, general agents and all distribution channels that sell Allied?s group benefit products. Connection with our sales channels is primarily via telephone, social media and webinars. Occasionally, some local and overnight travel may be required to meet with General Agents and Brokers.
REQUIREMENTS:
College graduate preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Minimum two years field and/or telephone insurance sales experience.
Current Life and Health/Accident Agent's license. If not currently licensed, must gain licensure within the first 3 months of employment.
Strong Public Speaking and presentation skills.
Ability to speak English fluently
Ability to listen to clients and express self clearly and courteously while responding with patience, confidence and accurate information.
Ability to read, write, comprehend, follow and give verbal English instructions.
Ability to travel via airlines or automobile approximately 10-15 percent of time.
Must have a valid Driver's License, own vehicle and provide own vehicle insurance.
Ability to meet company attendance requirements.
Ability to withstand the stress of meeting deadlines and departmental objectives and phone calls from irrational agents.
Ability to sit/stand at workstation for extended periods.
Ability to stand for extended periods while exhibiting during presentations and/or conventions.
Ability to lift and transport 40 lbs.
with Windows office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and keyboard proficiency skills.
