Sr. Software Development Engineer in Test Job Opening in Rockville, Maryland - We are looking for a testing professional and a full-stack Java engineer capable of creating codes from scratch. You are an engineer with demonstrated ability to excel in all area of the SDLC - Analysis, Design, Coding, Testing, and not only code implementation.
You must have hands-on experience core Java (Java 8 is a plus) programming.
You must have hands-on experience developing and setting up testing automation frameworks such as Junit , Selenium and other self-developed tools.
You must have hands-on experience developing and setting up automation server/Continuous Integration environment such as Jenkins
You must have hands-on experience developing and setting up project building and managing tools such as Maven .
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain the testing automation environment
Independently modify the test system in preparation for implementation
Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, or usability
Execute test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures
Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers
Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen or content
Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes
Create or maintain databases of known test defects
Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates
Technical Proficiency:
Extensive hands-on experience with core java programming
Knowledge and/or experience with Java 8 is a plus
Experience with Maven based projects
Experience with Junit test automation
Strong in SQL query language
Worked within development environments that utilized GIT / Jenkins / Automated Deployments
Education:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
