Dubset Media is a rights management and music distribution company. The company was built on creating simple solutions to solve complex licensing issues in the music industry to identify, clear and distribute mixed and remixed audio content. To achieve this, Dubset?s team has built an industry leading rights management, content identification, licensing, and distribution platform called MixBANK.
While Dubset?s MixBANK can support any digital derivative content that uses copyrighted originals, we initially focused on making DJ mixes and remixes legally available to hundreds of millions of users through leading music streaming services. This gives the music services the DJ content that they and their users seek, the DJs a way to reach their fans, and the rights holders (labels and publishers) new revenue opportunities while controlling usage and distribution of mixes and remixes that used songs from their catalogs.
JOB DESCRIPTION:

Dubset Media is looking for a VP Engineering. This individual will be responsible for architecture, design and development of our MixBANK and MixSCAN platforms. It is a key role in helping the company reach efficiency and scale to clear and distribute millions of DJ mixes/remixes. You will be challenged in an ambitious, ever-evolving organization that values vision, drive, motivation, and flexibility. The candidate will provide leadership for product development, architecture, innovation of new technologies, management, cross functional collaboration and hands on work.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead all Engineering and PMO activities
Lead architecture design and implementation to ensure scale, performance and cost effective operation
Define and implement development and project/program management best practices
Design and establish processes for predictability and on-time/on-budget delivery against the product roadmap
Lead R&D efforts of new technologies and evolution of the platform
Collaborate with executive staff to identify opportunities and risks, as well as create development milestones to meet business goals
Collaborate with Product Management, Content Operations and Business Teams to streamline processes and responsiveness to customers/partners
Manage vendor relations
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience
BS in CS/EE
Masters in CS/EE is preferred
10+ years of software development ? Client, Server, Database systems (B2B platforms is preferred)
Experience architecting and leading teams
Full-stack design, development and deployment
Client/server protocol and public API design to interface with 3rd party solutions
Expert in building processes to accommodate active development on a common code base by multiple teams, with separate release schedules
Expertise in C, C++, C#, ObjectiveC, Python, Ruby on Rails, Java, SQL
Expertise in SDLC, including design, development, source control, build engineering, QA, documentation and release management
Experience in agile and waterfall development methodologies
Experience in building enterprise platforms
Experience in cloud solutions
Excellent leadership skills and ability to build strong relationships across all stakeholders
