Operations Manager (Nights) in Warehouse (N2) Job Opening in Norfolk, Nebraska - Southeast Unloading is looking for a self-directed, customer service-driven leader to oversee a team of 30-35 warehouse truck unloaders at our site in Norfolk, NE. The ideal candidate will plan, direct, and coordinate the daily operations and unloading of trucks in a warehouse owned by our customer.
Schedule : Overnight Operations - Sun - Thurs, 8pm - 4am; Weekends as needed
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 5 years of warehouse management leadership experience
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and unloading procedures
Experience with managing budgets and ability to create and maintain various management reports
Intermediate computer experience, ideally with Microsoft products; specifically Microsoft Excel
Excellent interpersonal communication, leadership, and customer service skills
College degree preferred but not required
ESSENTIALS DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Scheduling of personnel based on client needs and schedule
Ensuring safety in the workplace and efficiency as priorities
Interact daily with the customers to ensure effective communication
Creating daily work logs and transmission of data to corporate
Creating various reports and distribution of those reports
Auditing of daily labor and billing reports
Handling deposits and cash
Overseeing human resources-related matters, including recruitment, training, file maintenance and confidentiality, employee coaching, conflict resolution, progressive discipline, worker's comp and adherence to state and federal requirements
Other duties as deemed necessary

The ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
The ability to make decisions, problem-solve, prioritize and direct the workforce in an ever-changing, warehouse environment
Excellent multi-tasking skills
Being adept at seeing the "big picture" as well the small details
Stands, bends, stoops, squats, reaches, twists, and otherwise moves continuously during the workday
Frequently walks throughout the workday
Occasionally reaches above shoulder level to lift or otherwise move objects that weigh 30 -- 50 pounds
Occasionally pushes and pulls
Functions and operates comfortably in a very active fast-paced environment
Endures extreme temperatures of heat and cold
Withstands loud noise and distractions
Timely and regular physical attendance is required to properly manage the unloading process

Southeast Unloading is a third party logistics services provider headquartered in Northeast Florida. Our company is contracted to unload general merchandise, grocery, perishable, retail foods and miscellaneous products and/or pharmaceuticals in warehouses and distribution centers. We do not own the sites where we unload trucks but rather provide freight-unloading services, pallet management, tote washing, trailer stripping and other services such as driver-assisting, picking, will-call, export labeling, housekeeping, and janitorial to our customers' warehouses and distribution centers.
