CMM Software Training Technician Job Opening in Sterling Heights, Michigan - TARUS is a machine tool builder and software developer for global manufacturing. We are a family owned company in Sterling Heights, Michigan that has been in business for over 40 years. We are currently looking for a CMM Software Training Technician to join the team.
Duties:
Determine program requirements based on design and engineering requirements
Provide direction to machine operators and assistance with learning software
Write or edit programs for precision machinery
Ensure that precision machinery is in working condition
Improve processes by suggesting ideas to change the calibration and programming tasks to use fewer company resources
Implement software improvements and work with developers to test new functions within the software
Programs CMM to measure dimensions of automotive parts and inspection fixtures
Requirements & Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in a similar CMM role of operating and programming
Easy DMIS or any related DMIS code experience
Must have excellent multitasking abilities
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems
Strong communication skills with customers
Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment
Preferred:

Tier 1 experience preferred
Fixture building or die maker experience
Technical degree or certification preferred

Blue print reading
Work instructions and standards
Quality check sheets
