Description: Our cyber security testing team is seeking a Wireless Security Engineer. The role will be a Contract to Hire position. This role will help strengthen vehicle security by conducting and overseeing various technical security assessment activities. Wireless Security Engineer should have a complete understanding of end-to-end system and security testing methodologies focused on wireless technologies such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and cellular network. Summary:
- Perform penetration test against connected vehicle attack interfaces such as Cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB, etc.
- Develop automation security testing tools/frameworks used for Cellular, Wireless, and Bluetooth.
- Simulate Cellular network, and conduct penetration testing against the vehicle communication module that uses Cellular network.
- Provide reports/artifacts, recommendations for remediation, and support to strength the security stance of the vehicle ecosystem.
- Perform revalidation testing after the patches are applied, and provide the supporting evidence.
- Conduct research activities to investigate vulnerabilities and technologies that may affect the vehicle cybersecurity.
Minimum Requirements - Contract position, reporting onsite to office in Plano, TX. If willing to relocate to Plano, TX, reporting onsite within 1 month.
- 5+ year experience of wireless security technologies on Cellular network, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth
- Proven wireless penetration testing experience with Cellular network, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth
- Expert skill to write test automation with scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, and Python
- Experience of various security testing (binary fault injection, fuzz testing etc.) - Proficient knowledge of Unix/Linux/Mac/Windows operating systems - Understanding of reverse engineering, obfuscation techniqu
- Experience with security testing framework for mobile/Web App (e.g. OWASP, SANS, etc.)
- Experience with cellular network simulators (e.g. Keysight, Anritsu, OpenBTS, YateBTS) Preferred Requirements
- Developing, extending, or modifying exploits, shellcode or exploit tools - Source code review for control flow and security flaws
- Embedded systems experience
- Automotive industry experience
