Department: Dermatology
Position Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Contractor
Start Date: 8-13 weeks Mon. - Fri. 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; LVN will need to be flexible schedule is based on department need.
Start Date: ASAP
Under the supervision of the RN/Licensed Care Provider, responsible for applying the nursing process through the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, & documentation of patient care. Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health & healing. Demonstrates clinical competence in performing, assisting and/or documenting tasks & procedures with excellence & quality, per department standards, regulatory guidelines & within scope of practice using age/developmental appropriate approach. Implements plan of care, provides patient & family teaching, follow-up, & discharge (after visit summaries) instructions with excellence & quality, per departmental standards & within scope of practice.
School Education: Associate's Degree (Minimum)
Experience; 1 Year of Experience (Preferred)
Licenses and Certifications: CPR/BLS Certification (AHA) (Minimum) Licensed Vocational Nurse (Minimum) Other (Preferred) At least one year of pediatric experience. (Preferred) Bilingual Spanish (Minimum) Associate's Degree or Nursing Diploma from an accredited LVN program.
