Freelance Accounting Specialist Job Opening in Deerfield Beach, Florida - JOB SUMMARY :
The Freelance Accounting Specialist is expected to process a large volume of work in a deadline driven environment with a ?roll up your sleeves? type attitude. The Accounting Specialist will compile data, compute charges, and prepare invoices. The Account Specialist will play a key role in month-end and year-end financial reporting, tax filings, budgeting, cash flow analysis, account analysis; bank reconciliations, accounts receivable collections, account payable processing, revenue recognition, ad hoc analysis, etc. This position will be flex hours Monday-Friday, and will be a contracted position.
OVERVIEW OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Enter and process vendor invoices for payment
Enter client invoices and apply customer payments
Balance vendor and client accounts
Prepare and mail checks
Coordinate and communicate with vendors
Participate in daily cash reconciliation efforts
Contribute to month end closing operations
Track and record client invoices and payments
Track and record vendor invoices and payments
Keep accurate records in accordance with company standards
Perform all other office tasks

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Previous experience in billing, finance, or other related fields
Experience in data entry
Hold an accounting preferred
General Ledger software, 2+ years of experience
Knowledge of standard accounting procedures
Ability to prioritize and multitask
